Wanting to take control of his own career and have more time to spend with his family, Simon made the leap from employee to business owner with his very own Home Cleaning Franchise.
Going on 12 years of successfully running his Home Cleaning franchise business, Simon joined V.I.P. in 2009 and hasn’t looked back since, “The thing I enjoy about owning my own V.I.P. franchise is reward for effort ratio,” Says Simon. “Being my own boss has enabled me to obtain financial stability and the flexibility that I needed to focus on other important areas of my life, such as family & friends, church, sport and fishing activities,” explains Simon.
Prior to joining V.I.P., Simon managed a busy fruit shop. “I loved the work, but the hours were long and included weekends which exhausted me and took up valuable time with loved ones,” says Simon. Scheduling his own hours and having the flexibility to be a business owner and family man has always been the overarching goal for Simon.
Since joining V.I.P., Simon has not only achieved his goal of becoming a homeowner but has also experienced a large amount of growth within his business. Due to the growth, he also now employs staff and is a V.I.P. Field Support Coordinator. This means Simon is involved with training franchisees as well as taking prospective franchisees out for a Day In The Field which provides the opportunity for people to spend time with a franchisee and find out what it’s like to have a V.I.P. franchise.
With continued growth and success, Simon’s hard work and dedication was recognised with his nomination in the Franchising Council of Australia’s Excellence in Franchising Awards where Simon became a state finalist.
In 2015, Simon’s wife Angela was brough on board, making this family franchising business an ever-growing success story, “I could never have imagined the level of success I have achieved in my business. Having a balance of business and family was incredibly important to me.”
