School & Childcare Cleaning for Healthier Learning Spaces
Triple ISO certified cleaning for schools, early learning centres and outside school hours care.
In schools and childcare centres, cleaning does more than keep things tidy. It protects the health of the children and staff who spend their days there.
V.I.P. provides professional school cleaning and childcare cleaning services across Australia. Daily cleaning through term time and year-round centre cleaning, delivered by a local franchisee who is police-checked, fully insured, and holds the Working With Children clearance required in your state.
Whether you manage a primary school, a secondary campus, a long day care centre or an OSHC programme, your V.I.P. franchisee will build a cleaning scope around your site, your hours and your compliance obligations.

Specialist Cleaning for Education and Early Learning
School Cleaning
Primary schools, secondary schools, independent and Catholic schools. Cleaning is scheduled around the school day and the term calendar – daily service through term, with deeper cleaning carried out during breaks when students are off site.
Childcare & Early Learning Cleaning
Long day care centres, preschools, kindergartens and early learning services. Centres operate close to year-round with younger children in constant contact with floors, surfaces and shared equipment, so the cleaning standard is higher and the frequency is greater than in many other commercial environments.
Outside School Hours Care
Before and after school care programmes often run inside shared school buildings, with fast turnarounds between the school day and the evening session. Your franchisee will build a cleaning schedule that works around care hours.

Why Triple ISO Certification Matters
Commercial cleaning companies can say they clean to the highest standards, but having Triple ISO Certification means three separate international standards – covering quality, safety and environmental management – have been independently audited and verified.
V.I.P. is triple ISO certified – independently verified against these three standards:
- ISO 9001 Quality Management — defined processes and a structured way of resolving issues.
- ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety — hazard management and safe work practices on your site.
- ISO 14001 Environmental Management — responsible products, reduced waste and verified practices.
All three certifications are audited annually by an external body. They cover our cleaning processes, the safety of everyone on site while we work, and the products we use.
How Much Does School or Childcare Cleaning Cost?
Both are usually quoted as a fixed price per term, per month or per year following a site assessment, rather than as an hourly rate. The main factors shaping a quote include:
- Site size — total floor area across all buildings, plus any grounds and outdoor areas in scope.
- Occupancy – more children on site means more frequent washroom, change area and high-touch cleaning.
- Facility mix – washrooms, nappy change areas, kitchens and change rooms are the most time-intensive areas per square metre.
- Frequency – daily cleaning across all areas, or daily on high-traffic zones with other areas on a rotation.
- Periodic works – carpet steam cleaning, floor sealing and window cleaning are quoted separately and scheduled on breaks or closure days.
- Consumables – whether soap, paper towel and toilet paper are supplied by the site or included in the contract.
Your local V.I.P. franchisee and sales manager will walk your site, assess what is genuinely needed and provide a fixed, obligation-free quote covering both the routine cleaning and the periodic works.
Additional Cleaning and Maintenance Services
V.I.P. franchisees can maintain the whole site, not just the buildings:
- Carpet cleaning – steam cleaning classrooms, playrooms and offices.
- Window cleaning – internal and external glass across the site.
- High-pressure cleaning – walkways, courts, courtyards and covered areas.
- Grounds and garden maintenance — lawns, gardens and green waste removal.
- Rubbish removal — general waste and end-of-term or end-of-year clear-outs.
- Regular office cleaning – dusting, wiping down, vacuuming and more for your office space.
Using one provider for cleaning and grounds means fewer contractors to induct and clear, and one person to call.

FAQ's
When do you clean- during or outside operating hours?
School cleaning is usually done after the last class or early in the morning before students arrive. Childcare cleaning is generally scheduled after the centre closes, or split across early morning and evening where the centre runs extended hours.
How does your cleaning support the National Quality Framework obligations for Childcare Centres?
For childcare services, hygiene and infection control practices are assessed under the National Quality Standard – primarily Quality Area 2, children’s health and safety, and Quality Area 3, physical environment. Your franchisee works to a documented cleaning schedule covering each area and frequency, so your centre has the evidence it needs at assessment and rating.
What happens during school holidays and centre closures?
Term breaks and closure periods are when the deep cleaning work usually occurs. This may include carpet steam cleaning, hard floor stripping and sealing, window cleaning, high-pressure cleaning of outdoor areas and detail cleaning ahead of the new term or year. Your franchisee will map this programme out in advance.
What areas do you clean?
In schools: classrooms and learning spaces, washrooms, corridors, halls and high-traffic areas, canteens, staff rooms, administration offices and grounds. In childcare centres: playrooms and activity areas, nappy change and toileting areas, sleep rooms, kitchens and bottle preparation areas, and outdoor play spaces. Specialist spaces such as science labs, gymnasiums and change rooms are included where required.
What cleaning products do you use?
V.I.P. uses GECA-certified products from the Enviroplus, Whiteley and Agar Green ranges, with hospital-grade disinfectants where required. Colour-coded equipment prevents cross-contamination between washroom or change areas and food and play areas, and all products are stored securely out of reach of children with safety data sheets held on site.
Will the same cleaner service our site each time?
Yes. Every V.I.P. franchisee is a local business owner who services their own clients, so the same familiar person is on site each visit.
Do you provide insurance certificates and complete contractor induction?
Yes. Certificates of currency for public liability insurance and clearance documentation are provided as part of onboarding, and your franchisee will complete your contractor induction and follow your sign-in and identification protocols.
What is the difference between school cleaning, childcare cleaning and general commercial cleaning?
Both are specialist subsets of commercial cleaning. School cleaning is scheduled around a school day and term calendar. Childcare cleaning carries a very high hygiene requirement with daily disinfection of change and toileting areas, year-round operation and cleaning practices that are assessed under the National Quality Standard. V.I.P. provides general commercial cleaning alongside both specialist services.
What should I look for in a school or childcare centre cleaning company?
Start by making sure the cleaning contractors all hold a current national police check, along with proof of public liability insurance.
After that, ensure there’s a written scope of work so everyone knows what’s being done and how often. Ask whether the same person will be cleaning each visit, too. A company with a high turnover of staff is not a positive sign, and having one contact saves you from inducting someone new every few weeks.
Look for real customer testimonials, reviews, any important certifications, and their experience.
Can you clean our grounds as well as our buildings?
Yes. V.I.P. franchisees provide lawn mowing, garden maintenance and green waste removal alongside cleaning, so your site can consolidate cleaning and grounds under one cleared contractor with one induction and one point of contact.
